This 9,000 Sqft log post and beam home on Campbell Lake in Anchorage Alaska was finished in 2010. Though large in scale, with an open floor plan, the natural materials, colors and themes throughout the house tie areas together while the variation in floor and ceiling heights create cozy spaces. The project also included construction of a matching boat house.

The log post and beam home is a hybrid of traditional log structures and standard stick framing, combining the best of both. The owner gets the look and strength of a log building without the maintenance and settling issues of a standard full log home. The spaces between the logs are well insulated framed walls with typical interior and exterior finishes allowing the owner to customize those spaces to their liking.
